Visit from big sister and Vincent

We had a wonderful time together though intensive, the kids would hit (Leah), push (Leah) and bite (Vincent & Leah) each other but they had such a great time. When Anneli and Vincent pulled up to the driveway Leah was in ecstasy, and couldn't stop giggling and smiling, pure happiness! She would follow Vincent for the whole evening and if he left her sight she told him off sternly to come here and do this. She was very sad when they left and as daddy came home without Vincent she kept asking for him as if he were to walk in the door any second.
The funniest moment was probably when Leah woke up in the middle of the night saying/screaming "Vincent?......VINCENT!!! What you talking 'bout....sleeping? Vincent! VINCENT!!!!!! sleeping? OK..............................................Vincent? The kids slept in the same room...
I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to all! Love the Jacket, the movie is a big hit, so is the bag with the wallet (with monies), the clothes and books and everything else that I forget to mention.

Love you!!!

St Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's day today and most people were off work and heading downtown for entertainment and drinking. Very crowded and Leah went crazy hyper running amok everywhere!

Happy Birthday!!

Happy, happy birthday to Michael today- the big 3 0!! He sends his love and thanks everybody for the lovely cards and gifts!! Unfortunately he hasn't been home too long before he had to leave again, we are looking to buy a car and he had to go right after dinner (roast beef -yum!), but we will probably go out for a nice dinner this weekend or so...

Oh and I did find a great prezzie- an hour full body massage!! And no, it's not like one of Joeys homemade coupons of love, it's at a salon! He's gonna love it!!

Go green!

We are going green here for a few days, St. Patrick's day is on the 17th (next Tuesday) and they are already preparing for it by decorating the city in green and white banners and more, I am really looking forward to doing something really truly Irish for the first time, we're taking Leah down to get her face painted (if she wants to) and to have a look around.
Micky's birthday to morrow and I don't have a clue what to get him, perfume (he has plenty), a game (don't think so!), clothes (difficult) which leaves me with practical things like slippers (his ones have huge holes in them but how much fun is it to give his that on his 30th?!) When asked what he would like he says nothing, so graciously...hmff! For the first time in five years I find it hard to find anything good for him and I'm running out of time! Probably gonna run downtown tomorrow, stressed out of my eyeballs to get something nice!!

musen

- Look, mamma look!
- What is it? I ask as she is running towards me with one of her little hands slightly cupped, holding it out for me to see (it's empty)
- Look, she says again. Musen mamma. Klappa.
Ah, OK. I give the mouse a few pets and a kiss after being ordered to and then off she goes to play with the mouse in her room.

She is great! Her imagination is awesome and here I am thinking it wouldn't come until she is about 3-4 yrs, sometimes it's even a frog and you HAVE TO look at it and pet it or she'll follow you around 'til you do. Hilarious!

Another funny time was when she disappeared for a long time so I went to check on her (she was too quiet) and I heard her talking softly in the guest bedroom so I peek in and see her standing T-shirt up to her chin, belly pressed onto the mirror talking to the girl in the reflection. I asked her what she was doing and I must have startled her because she jumped and quickly pulled down her T-shirt looking very embarrassed.

She also says "For fucks sake", but she says it like a Japanese person would after just learning English- Focka saki! Usually accompanied by slamming her little Winnie the Pooh toy phone down into the receiver. Do not know where she got that at all...whistling innocently...
