beautiful day

Today has been, or is, the most beautiful, warm and sunny day of the year so far!! Absolutely gorgeous!! Micky was working a half-day so me and Leah have been out in the garden all day, fixing the garden! It's starting to look really nice out there now...

Leah was in her room for a while and then I came in to check on her and saw a mountain of books(see pic) and she was thrilled! 'I throw books!'

Meet our Dog!

She is just over two years old and walks on all four (like all dogs) making little sounds like a puppy and begs for food and attention! Her name is Leah...
Recently, she has started to act like a cat or a dog and today for dinner she didn't want to finish her meal so Leah the dog did it for her- we applauded the dog saying 'good dog', 'wow, that was a big bite dog' and more- she loved it!!

Garden fever

Spring is beautiful and everything is growing- EVERYTHING!! I hate it!! Feeling like I have to 'fix' the garden- take care of it and pull all of the weed (lots and lots of them!) and maintain the lawn etc, such pressure!! Don't really have time for it and I'm breaking my back but I can't stand looking at it so I start to pick at it slowly and end up like a maniac pulling and digging here and there- with Leah following my every move, copying me, wanting to do all I do, but she ends up pulling up all the nice flowers and cutting the bushes and digging holes in the lawn. So much to do!!

Visit from Mormor

So mormor was here for 10 days and has now left. Like always when we get visits from Sweden it feels so empty and quiet when they're gone, but I'm sure Leah will make up for it with some of her special screams!
We didn't do very much- it was raining the first 5-7 days and then came the sunshine and warmth, it was lovely and we we're enjoying it in the garden.

Had my first day at work yesterday and I don't really know what to make of it yet, cause they were all so busy and didn't have time to show me things properly and I was left at my own for a few hours so I just did what I knew needed to be done. Maybe it'll be better next time, but I am going to another hotel to drop by my CV. I was exhausted last night though and fell asleep on the sofa with Mick snoring next to me- ha ha!!

First time sticking something (other than her finger) up her nose

So I was in the kitchen cleaning up after breakfast and mum was in the shower, leaving Leah alone watching TV. After a few minutes she comes into the kitchen
-"Take it out, mamma. Take it out!!", she said pointing to her nose. I just thought it was a boggie when I saw blue paper stuck in her nose!! Had to get my tweezer and when she saw that she started to cry thinking it would hurt or something. Anyway, got it out under protest from Leah- it was the Peppa Pig sticker we gave her last night that she'd put on the mantel piece and now decided would look better up her nose...

I GOT A JOB!

I GOT A JOB!!! WOHOOO! It's part time at the Whistledown hotel (www.whistledown.co.uk), but nothing is set in stone, going for my first day in may to test the water, and then if I like it I'll have to talk money...and talk to all potential babysitters!!!
